Projects Module

The module overview for Projects on the Kynection web portal, for project managers. It covers the projects list and Gantt view, contract groups and project setup, milestones and budgets, profit and loss, then sites, assets and the inspection and defect trail behind them.

In this part

• Navigate projects (0:00). Read the projects list, switch to the Gantt chart where overlap and slippage are obvious, and open profit and loss with its budget, cost and margin columns.
• Contracts and project setup (0:22). Groups organise work by contract; open a contract to its projects, edit the info tab (budget, percent complete, clients, contacts and retention) and restrict forms to chosen groups.
• Milestones and budget (1:02). The schedule view, the milestones list with its budget breakdown chart, and a sub-item showing budget, cost, value, invoiced amount and invoice remaining.
• Finance, jobs and hours (1:35). Profit and loss totals across every milestone, the project record’s activity, forms and site control tabs, the jobs list and the assets attached to the project.
• Sites and assets (2:10). Filter the portfolio, read the sites list, open a site to its assets, inspections and repairs, and review the full asset register for anything outstanding.

Inspections, defects and repair jobs hang off the asset record, not the project. The PDF guide below has the screens for each step.
