How to Configure Subcontractor Portal Access in Kynection

How to set a subcontractor up on the web portal before they are invited anywhere: granting the Sub Contractor Portal role on their contact record, then configuring what their company is required to provide. Portal access is granted to a person, not a company, so each company needs a nominated portal user.

In this part

  • Assign the portal role (0:00). Open Contacts, find the contact who will be the portal user, set their access to Sub Contractor Portal alongside their name, job title, ACN, email, address and region, and confirm the saved record shows the Sub Contractor Portal group.
  • Open the company (0:46). Sub Contractor Manager Companies lists each company with its contact, portal type, status and risk rating; against the company, set what access it has and what it is responsible for providing.
  • Set the required forms (1:10). Progress claim settings cover the subform template, quantity and class total fields, and the invitation email subject and body; select the training logs, licence competency and approval requirements, then save.

Only ask for what applies, so a labour-only trade is not chasing plant registrations. The PDF guide below has the screens for each step.
