How to Use the Kynection Subcontractor Portal | Complete Training Guide

The module overview for the Subby Portal, covering both sides on the web. The head contractor grants access, sets compliance requirements and invites a company to a project; the subcontractor signs in, completes their induction and lodges insurance, SWMS and plant records. Chapters 1 to 3 and 6 are done by your team; chapters 4 and 5 are what the subcontractor sees.

In this part

  • Grant portal access (0:00). Access starts on the subcontractor’s contact record, not their company: find the portal user and complete their details.
  • Set what the company must provide (0:53). Against the company, set the licences, insurances, code compliance, SWMS, chain of responsibility questions, plant rules and induction template.
  • Invite them to a project (1:52). Send the invite, pick the project, and check what the company already has on file.
  • The subcontractor signs in (2:57). The invitation email carries a signup link for the person managing the portal.
  • Lodge the compliance records (3:40). Insurance, SWMS, the chain of responsibility questionnaire, safety data sheets and any sub-contractors of their own, then submit for approval.
  • Review what came back (4:49). Read the colour-coded insurance matrix, then see the project view the subcontractor gets.

Requirements are set per company, so a labour-only trade is not asked for plant registrations. The PDF guide below has the screens for each step.
